Project BalancedÂ

Engineering Longevity is a proactive health and lifestyle framework designed to help individuals take control of the aging process through consistent, actionable steps. Developed over 15 years of clinical experience in physical therapy and human performance, Project Balanced focuses on what can be controlled—daily habits, environment, mindset, and movement—to create lasting improvements in healthspan and quality of life. The aging process is inevitable, but dysfunction is not. By empowering individuals with strategies rooted in evidence-based care, Project Balanced gives people the tools to not only extend life, but enhance the years they live—stronger, sharper, and more independent.

This project was born out of real homes, real patients, and real challenges. It’s a culmination of thousands of hours spent inside the lives of individuals trying to maintain dignity, strength, and identity as they age. I’m Dr. Justin Dale—PT, DPT, CSCS—and my path began in the Sierra Nevada mountains, shaped by movement, nature, and discipline. From training in ancient dojos in Japan to treating world-class athletes, my journey ultimately led to the most important arena: the home. Over the past 15 years in home health, I’ve seen where aging breaks down and where it thrives. Project Balanced is the result of that lived experience—merging clinical knowledge with real-world application to engineer a life of longevity, resilience, and purpose.

“Dr. Justin Dale was able to find the missing pieces and give me simple structure that I then just had to do daily.” - MaryAnn 72 y/oÂ
“After 15 years in physical therapy and human performance, I’ve worked with everyone—from elite athletes pushing their limits to aging adults fighting to stay independent at home. That contrast taught me a critical truth: aging is not something that just happens—it’s something we must actively fight against.”
“The natural aging process comes with challenges, but it also comes with opportunities—because so many of the factors that impact how we age are within our control. Movement, mindset, nutrition, hydration, recovery—these aren’t just wellness trends, they’re tools. But tools only work if they’re used consistently and with purpose.”
“At the heart of Project Balanced is a focus on balance and fall prevention—because one fall can change your life in seconds. Every year in the U.S., over 36 million falls are reported among older adults, leading to 3 million emergency visits and over 32,000 deaths. Yet our society continues to treat falls as accidents rather than preventable events. We’ve failed to prepare people with the systems and strategies to stay upright, strong, and safe.”
“That’s what Project Balanced is built for. It’s a framework designed to turn daily habits into long-term resilience. Whether you're aiming to extend your performance or preserve your independence, the mission is the same: to engineer longevity and protect the quality of life you’ve worked hard to build.”
